What are Special Collections, and how do I use them to find images?

0

This section contains all the folders from various special collections the library offers. It works much the same as the Categories section. The first column shows the current Special Collections. Special Collections are images from cross-cutting topics or projects, or images being shared online by a specific community. As you click on one of those collections, you may see in the next two columns any subcollections within that — down to three levels, or you may see right away the example images in the farthest space on the right, along with a description of the content of that subcollection. The number of images present in the collection or subcollection is shown to the bottom right of the example images. Clicking on this will show you all the results as thumbnails, which you can then click on to see a larger view of each image and information about it.
