What are some ways to make maple syrup more concentrated?
Simmer it on very low heat for several minutes. Be sure to stir the entire time. Foods with high sugar content can scorch quickly. I would recommend stirring with something stiff such as a wood spoon over something flexible like a silicon spatula. It will do a better job at keeping the syrup stirred from the bottom of the pan. You will want to remove it before it is quite as thick as you would like it. It will thicken more as it cools off.
