What are some ways to lift a jeep YJ wrangler without a lift kit?
There really are no “cheap” ways to do what you want. They make body lift kits but that won’t help you get any more ground clearance. If you’re trying to raise up the jeep to get better off road capabilities – then you’ll have to get an honest lift kit. Check local junk yards, eBay or your local trader paper (here in NC we have such a paper called the “Iwanna”) – etc. etc… Sometimes you get lucky and find a modified/lifted jeep that has been wrecked, but the suspension is perfect which you could buy for very cheap (sometimes). Make sure that the suspension or any part that you buy is for your exact model. Many times just a year difference or model/engine/4WD options difference WON’T work for your jeep.
