What are some ways parents, teachers, and students can overcome ethical problems in education?
A. Parents need to be involved in their children’s academic lives and explain why issues such as cheating are unethical and also hurtful to their education. Also, teachers need to establish clear rules and consequences about these issues. For example, many of my high school teachers had discussions with us about plagiarism and had us sign a contract that stated all of the work we handed in was either our own or cited properly if the assignment required outside sources.
