My favorite source for baby names is http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi which is a social security administration list of babies first names, registering for social security numbers since 1880. If you include top 1000 names, and go back a long way, you can find some really odd and obscure names.

When my boys were born their names were pretty unique but they are getting more and more common. Their names are Tristan and Gavin.

Well I thought it was really cool when my niece just named her baby boy “Silas James”. I also love the movie “Ladyhawke” with Michelle Pfeifer and Rutger Hauer and his name in the movie was Nevar (Nuh-var), so I always thought it would be neat to have twins (a boy and a girl) naming him Nevar and her Nevaeh (which, of course, is Heaven spelled backwards).
