What are some typical minors that psychology majors choose?
There are many ways a person can choose a minor. Common ways that students select minors include choosing the runner-up to their major choice, an area of education they have been interested in, and probably most common method is choosing a minor that would be helpful in attaining career goals. Often all three of these can lead a person to select the same minor. If a person knows that they would like to work with children or in the area of development and learning, they may choose to minor in Human Development. This is a minor in the Department of Educational Psychology here at Ball State. If a person knows that they would eventually like to practice therapy, a department in which these skills can be developed is the Department of Counseling Psychology.
