A. Subpoenas that are mailed or faxed without the witness’ agreement to accept service in that manner would be difficult to uphold in court. A subpoena left in a mail box/slot violates federal law. Serving a minor is not valid. Leaving a subpoena with anyone who is not authorized to accept it would be questionable.
