Depends on how small you are talking about? and what age. Assuming you mean a number between 6 and 12 then host the dinner party yourself and have a full three course meal, or wine tasting evening. You could hire a chef for the night if you dont’ fancy doing it yourself, or get in a take away. Murder mystery dinner parties are generally written for those numbers of guests and they are great fun and tell you all you need to know to make your evening go really well. Lots of ideas there. Or you could get some good board games like Articulate, or outburst which will get everyone talking. Best tip is to do what you feel comfortable with. If you like cooking, then cook, if you don’t then go out or get a takeaway.
