What are some tips for creating a great Big Shot?
A vertical (portrait) full-body shot against a high-contrast background makes one of the best final prints. Contrast between the subject and the background is important because Big Shots are trimmed around the subject. An image that started out with a light colored background looks best on a light-colored wall and conversely, a light subject against a dark background works best on a dark colored wall. • The bigger the image size, the larger the shot can be reproduced. • Upload files in RAW format if possible–this is our preferred file format. • Fill the entire frame with the subject, taking care not to crop the subject’s head, hands or feet. • For smaller subjects like pets and children, the photograph should be taken at their eye level.
