What are some things that are inexspensive to do in Conroe Texas?
Nice parks, Lake Conroe has some activities like fishing, boating. Montgomery is a small town west on Hwy 105. There is a history museum that shows the beginnings of the Texas Flag. I haven’t been there, but people say it’s kinda interesting. Drive over to Brenham and see the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory. On the way back, stop near Navasota to check out Washington on the Brazos history museum. It’s very nice and quiet interesting. Nearby is a Miniature horse farm that is free. There is an inexpensive movie theatre. However, it has a strange crowd at night. We go there in the day. You can also visit Sam Houston’s statue and park south of Huntsville. You can’t miss this one because of the huge statue of Sam on the interstate. 😉 It’s not a typical tourist town, so you won’t find tons of things to do. It’s mostly a bedroom community and small town near a big city. There isn’t a mall, but a nice shopping area north of Conroe. South to The Woodlands area and ride the river taxi for $6 each.
