What are some things I should NEVER do while working in ARTL?
• Do not plug or unplug anything. A proctor will gladly assist you. • Do not turn anything on or off. • Do not take food or drinks into the lab. • Do not attempt to copy ARTL software or download pirated software. • Do not stay late. Save your files and finish any printing fifteen minutes before the lab closes. • Be aware of the legal issues involved in duplicating copyright protected materials. Violating any one of these rules can result in your being asked to leave and/or being temporarily or permanently banned from the lab. What are some things I can do to help ensure the computer I am using does not crash? • Make sure to log in and out on the computer. Quit all open applications and finish all printing requests before logging out. • Try to avoid using multiple applications at the same time. When possible, quit one application before opening another. • When ejecting a CD or disk (thumb drive or fire wire drive), drag the icon of the disk to be ejected to the trash. NEVER use the ‘Ej
