What are some suggestions for increasing the popularity of volleyball at all levels?
It starts at the high school and middle school level. High School coaches need to have camps for younger middle school kids, those same kids should be invited to games to watch the older kids play. Open gyms are also a big help. If you have an open gym where anyone can play during the summer, you might see some real interest from those that currently do not play for JV or Varsity. The club season is also a great deal of help. Start a club. Get your name out. Network with other sport coaches. If you are a coach at a high school, talk with other out of season coaches about them mentioning volleyball as an off-season cross training sport for their athletes. Mention the low-risk of injury for their players over football, soccer, etc. depending on the gender you coach. If you get coaches of other sports on your side, it will help you a great deal.
