What are some STUPID laws in medieval Europe?
There wasn’t much law in this time and that was one of the problems. People lived and died in an area and never went more than 5 or 10 miles from home most of their lives. When Rome fell any laws or rules that existed were gone, so it was chaos every where. The local nobility had his rules that the knights enforced, but these could change at any time. The King had his rules and those could also change at will. So, to your question there was no “stupid” laws because there really wasn’t any laws.
