What are some stereotypes of military women?
As a military woman I could go on for hours about this. It depends on who’s doing the stereotyping. If its civilians, they usually stereotype women as lesbians for being “manly”. As in, only a woman who is manly would ever volunteer for defend her country. Inside the military and by peers, women have serveral labels. The Wh*re: this is for any military woman that has sex. If she’s had more than one partner, she’s classified as the wh*re. And you would not believe how fast the rumor mill is in the military. The B*tch: she’ll sleep with anyone but YOU sort of mentality. This is for the women who turn down men (but have had relationships in the past). She can also be called “frigid” or “ice queen”. The Lesbian: She’s the girl who doesn’t have sex ever for whatever reason. She’s not sleeping with any of the guys? Oh, well, she MUST be a lesbian!
