When you look closely at other competitions, you will often find that the information on past event attendees can be hard to obtain or is just plain false. How many teams attended? Where were they from? This is a good indication on what the tournament will host in the future! Do they provide paperwork, event schedules, maps and other materials to show that the event is very well organized and planned well in advance? Can you see locations for their registration/player weigh-in areas, cheer competition, awards presentation, and other vital areas BEFORE you send in your money? Generally, if the event is organized and well presented prior to your entry, it has a better chance of being organized and well-delivered WHEN YOU ARE AT THE ACTUAL COMPETITION! Does the event publish or put out on the web a list of past participants or currently registered teams? This is critical!
