Depends on your commitment to man. Must we kill man to save the rain forest to save man. As we build homes, newspapers, magazines, etc, etc, our consumption forest is becoming more and more relentless. In Brazil I just read where the Brazilian Gov. was re-opening vast areas of rain forest to be cut down. Our global population is reaching 7,000,000,000. Honestly, truthfully, how many more people can this planet support. The solution to the destruction of our rain forests is no longer in finding other resources. That is just dumping the problem somewhere else. The solution is in recycling and population control.
