What are some sleeping pills that don give you a hangover in the morning?
Modern prescription sleeping pills such as Ambien, Ambien CR, and Lunesta typically metabolize rather quickly. Ambien, for instance, metabolizes in about 4 hours, which means there is no more medication in your system after 4 hours. Ambien CR has 2 components, one is regular Ambien with the 4 hour effect, and the other is a timed release portion which lasts pretty much all night. Any of these modern sleep meds have little residual effect on the morning after usage, but people are all different and have different responses to medication. Your physician usually will have sample products available for you to try before an actual prescription is written, so you can judge your individual response to the medication.
