What are some simple things I can do to reduce my energy costs?
Replace your incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. They last longer, use a great deal less energy output and they don t produce additional heat like incandescent bulbs do. When buying appliances, look for the green Energy Star label. The appliance may be competitively priced when compared to others without the Energy Star label, but your savings over time will be greater because it will run more efficiently and consume less energy.
