What are some similarities between F. Scott Fitzgerald and The Great Gatsby?
1) Fitzgerald and Gatsby both met a “golden girl” while a lieutenant in the army. The “golden girl” liked them, but wouldn’t marry them because they were too poor. 2) Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda hosted parties similar to Gatsby’s. They were lavish, with lots of dancing and booze. 3) Fitzgerald and Zelda were similar to Daisy and Tom in that they all moved around a lot.
