What are some side effects, if any, after a child stops taking metronidazole?
Most side effects happen whilst taking metronidazole and are gastrointestinal effects including taste disturbance, a sore mouth, tongue, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. There is a long list of serious but very rare side effects that may happen during or after the course, hepatitis, blood disorders, affecting the CNS etc etc. If you have concerns consult your GP.
