What are some romantic things to do in Austin, TX?
1. Mount Bonnel is free and romantic. Bring a flashlight though because the walk up is kind of scary. 2. Swimming in Barton Springs. 3. Whole Foods on North Lamar (at 41st? or 45th?) usually has some kind of band playing on the weekend which is completely free. 4. Amy’s Ice Cream is located in several places and it’s a local favorite that’s fun to relax at. Choose your location carefully though, some are very busy and some aren’t. I recommend the one on 6th Street & Lamar by Waterloo Records. 5. Do NOT take a stroll on Town Lake/ Lady Bird Lake at night. A lot of people get mugged. 6. A site that you won’t find on any map is one that emcompasses the entire city of Austin. Take 6th street going West. It will turn into Lake Austin Blvd. Take that down until you hit Red Bud Trail. There’s a gas station on the right of the hill. Turn around and then drive slowly back to the bottom. It’s one of the most unique and beautiful sites of Austin. 7.
