What are some recommended demo discs for picture quality?
The “tier 0” titles in The New PQ Tier thread for Blu-ray have been chosen for their sharpness and vividness of color; they “consistently offer reference level high-definition picture quality.” Note that many films are not meant to look exceedingly sharp or vivid and the director may employ all sorts of effects that keep them out of tier 0.
