What are some recipes that use beef boullion cubes?
Description: This is the way my mom make brisket (my nana makes it very differently). It is always VERY tender. All of the beer cooks off it’s not really for the taste so this recipe is safe for the whole family. Makes a very juicy, delicious brisket! Ingredients 4 pound beef brisket pinch of salt 1 large onion, sliced 12 ounce can beer 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 cube beef bouillon 2 tbsp pepper 2 tsp minced garlic (can use garlic powder) 1 bay leaf 1/4 tsp dried thyme 2 tbsp cornstarch 2 tbsp water Sources: http://friendseat.
Ingredients * 4 large Vidalia onions * 4 Knorr extra large beef bouillon cubes (these are worth buying – they’re the best for this recipe!) * 4 tablespoons butter * 4 cloves of peeled garlic, each clove cut in half * heavy duty aluminum foil (a must!) * garlic croutons, optional * grated swiss cheese, optional Directions 1. Peel onions without cutting off the root end; cut off about 1 inch of the top of the onion. 2. Removing as little as possible, cut the root end into a nice flat surface so the onion will remain upright while cooking. 3. Using a potato peeler or knife, dig a small cone shaped section from the center of each onion (be careful not to cut through to the root end!). 4. Cut the onion into quarters from the top down, stopping within an inch of the root end. Place a bouillon cube in the center of each onion, and place chunks of butter around the bouillon. 5. If you are using the garlic, place 1 half in each of 2 quartered sections of the onion. 6. Wrap each onion separately
