What are some reasons why my Consumer Accounts Card transactions may be declined?

If your Card is rejected it may be because: • Your Card has not been activated. • One business day has not passed since activation. • The transaction is not for an eligible service or it does not match a pre-defined benefit or co-pay amount, as required by your plan. • The transaction cannot be substantiated in real time at your pharmacy. Please make sure your Consumer Accounts Card is activated prior to dropping off prescriptions. • You’re trying to purchase something other than or in addition to your pharmacy prescription. • You’re trying to buy over-the-counter at a retailer other that Walgreen’s retail. • There are insufficient funds in your FSA to cover the expense. • There is a problem with the merchant’s card terminal. • You are attempting to swipe at an invalid location, e.g. a gas station or electronics store.
