because it’s already a full time job being a student, you need all the time you have to invest all those knowledge into your brain, earn good grades and get good scholarships for college. If you have a job during high school, you start to spend money on nice shoes and clothes (to impress classmates) pretty soon you will start to buy things you really can’t afford and start craving for more money. Then you start to ask for more hours and start losing track of school. Some kids start building debt by buying a car at 17 or 18. Less chance that they’ll go on to college right away because they have expenses to pay and they’re used to the money spending freedom.
