If you are running any of these programs while trying to use Connect@UPMC, please disable them or exit from them before attempting to log on to Connect@UPMC: a. Zone Alarm b. Norton Internet Security c. McAfee Personal Firewall They can cause many different aspects of Connect@UPMC to not work on your computer by blocking important access to the system. Please note that these are the most common programs that will block the application and others may exist. Any personal firewall programs or spy ware/popup blockers may also deny access.
