What are some positive things about child beauty pageants?

While I am not a fan of glitz (makeup, big hair, belly showing…) pageants, I believe that natural, local level pageants can help children learn sportsmanship. Also, playing “princess” is fun! 🙂 The important thing to remember, is that if a parent acts crazy about it, the child will not benefit. Otherwise, it is good mother daughter bonding.
