What are some places to visit around mumbai?
Mumbai has nothing really,maybe a day or two at the most to get the feel of the place.Mumbai can offer you a few beaches,try Juhu beach or Madh island where you can rent a shack for the day. I would suggest you visit hill stations like Lonavala Khandala that are about 3 hours drive,you can visit the 3000 year old Karla caves,trek to forts high up on mountain tops, paraglide- its great tho i don’t have the guts to do it myself, December weather is pleasantly chilly.I am off to Lonavala for my new year’s :-).The food here in mumbai is dismal if you’re used to Delhi type lip smackers.Otherwise,you have nothing to do really,just gawk at film stars bungalows with the out -of-towners,visit the Gateway of India and just look around,shop at the malls if you like.Once you get here you’ll know what i’m talking about.Good luck!
