I’ve done costuming for many years now. Won contests at shows, conventions and worked on independant films. Try a costume making forum (google them, dont use yahoo.. sorry). Depending on the complexity, it will take lots of time. So get started! Best thing to do is find what u wanna do, research the components, and accessories, then get them. Dont be afraid to make things by hand. You’d be surprised by when you can do yourself. Also, if it calls for it, use colored contact lenses. You’d be shocked how effective good f/x contacts do for your costume! (remember google, best way to start!
