What are some options for the Saturday afternoon activity of Disciple Now?
On Saturday afternoon of Disciple Now, all of the homes typically come together for lunch at the church and then get ready for their Saturday afternoon activity. In the past, recreation has been offered during this time. Many times these recreation games are competition between homes or age groups. Some games are messy, some are athletic, and others are thinking games. I would suggest having a recreation coordinator plan all of these games. Make sure you have enough volunteers to assist. A new option that our ministry has begun doing on Saturday afternoons is called the Missions Scavenger Hunt. The premise of this activity is to give each host home group a chance to do random acts of kindness in their community. this activity is not a race, rather it is simply trying to do as many activities on certain list in the alotted time.
