What are some options for handling the Entry forms for a new program year?
A new Entry form can be bubbled each year (using a date within the new program year) or there is the option of rescanning the existing Entry form (with any corrections either cleanly erased and re-bubbled or clearly marked for the TOPSpro person to manually correct after rescanning). The TOPSpro system is designed to track a student the entire length of time the student is a part of the education program (often many years). One way to ensure that the student records build each year is to scan an Entry form for every student at the beginning of every program year. Yes, this means scanning an Entry form for students that were already scanned into TOPSpro the previous program year. The original “Parent” record (SSN) for a student does not change. There can ultimately be unlimited Child records added (more Entries, Tests, Updates). Future TOPSpro versions may address this issue.
