What are some of the worst things about biking in Philly?
SCS: “Drivers who don’t understand that bicyclists belong in the street. They honk at you, they pass too closely, they cut you off. They endanger you. I think cars and cabs and trucks that park in bike lanes also endanger bicyclists. The lack of enforcement of traffic laws is a big problem. It permits bad behavior by motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists to occur with no consequences.” JB: “We’ve designed roads for the past 50 years to be highways, even roads we post at 30 mph. You have these four lane roads that are supposed to be 30 mph but people are going way faster.
