Florida Department of Education has released the 2009 FCAT scores. Washington County School District has shown improvement in most areas. In the calculation of Reading, Math and Science students are expected to score a 3 or higher to demonstrate proficiency. In the Writing scores a 3.5 or higher is considered proficient. Superintendent, Dr. Sandra M. Cook, commends all students and teachers on the overall improvement in the scores for Washington County in a press release.
