What are some of the really big advances this property offers compared with other MGM Mirage resorts?
I think number one is that it’s different. It is a luxury hotel, but it has a very different design. It offers people something different than what they’ve had before, particularly in Las Vegas. The sustainability issue also comes across. And the other thing is the property was designed to evoke a sense of exploration and discovery. People like to go around that corner and see something different. Everywhere you go there’s a mixture of textures and art. People do notice that there are not a lot of hard angles to the building; there are a lot of curves. I guess you don’t expect people to see that from an architectural standpoint, but they do want to walk around and explore it. What are some of the features that you think are very special in terms of the dining options? The interesting thing is a lot of the same celebrity chefs that we’ve had in the company who have done very well for us have developed a totally different cuisine over here.
