What are some of the problems related to the JD-990?
The maximum polyphony of 24 voices is really very limited by today’s standards, specially in multitimbral setups. There’s a posibility to expand the number of voices, but it’s very expensive: you can link/stack some JD’s together and controle them all from one module. Some users with a JD-990 and not many extra gear, sequence the JD’s sounds and bounce them to an audio track over a software sequencer.
