What are some of the physical forms of domestic violence?
Physical domestic violence includes hitting, slapping, punching, shoving, scratching, throwing someone down stairs or into walls, or pulling hair, among other acts. These violent actions violate the person of the receiving spouse. In a contest of brute strength, men have an advantage over women because they are bigger and have more upper-arm strength. This means that most women are at a decided disadvantage against a violent man.
