What are some of the most common procedures desired by Asian American and African American patients?
Patients of Mediterranean and Latin decent typically have dorsal convexity, also known as the nasal hump, while African American and Asian American patients usually have a lack of dorsal convexity which requires augmentation, or building, of the nasal bridge. This can be done both surgically and non-surgically (non-surgical rhino) using Dermafillers such as Restylane or Radiesse. Another common request is a narrowing of the nostrils. Many African and Asian American patients feel their nostrils are too wide for their face. A nostril reduction procedure can be performed non-surgically to narrow the nostril width. This procedure can be performed in-office in about one hour.
