The side effects are similar to some of the symptoms of menopause. The most common ones include hot flashes and vaginal discharge. Other side effects include: • irregular menstrual periods • dizziness • headaches • fatigue • loss of appetite • nausea • vomiting • vaginal dryness • vaginal bleeding • irritation of the skin around the vagina Not all women who take tamoxifen have these symptoms.
