Andrew Weil has been hugely honoured in all the fields relating to the field of medicine. In the year of 1998, Andrew Weil was inducted in the Academy of Achievement. In the year of 2006, he was made the Pioneer of Integrative Medicine in the Institute of Health and Healing which is situated in San Francisco. In 1995, a new mushroom was discovered by a group of mycologists and named it after the physician by calling it Psilocybe Weilii. This honour was received by the physicist as he has written many theories on the healing powers of the mushroom and he calls himself a person obsessed with mushrooms.
