What Are Some of the Highlights for the Next Rendezvous?
Music: Internationally known “Tanglefoot” from Ontario, Canada will be performing both days along with “Wild Goose Chase Cloggers”, and the “Scottish Dance Society”. There is a sound stage and an acoustic stage on the festival grounds. All stage entertainment is included in the price of admission. Historical Exhibits & Reenactments: Various “acts” including the Amazing Budabi Brothers Juggling Team, Ole Oleson Norwegian Immigrant, plus “characters” of the 17th and18th century will entertain you throughout the site. Parades and Drills: Re-enactors “strut and show-off” around the grounds and create a very festive atmosphere. Live Cannon Rounds: The New Ulm Battery will be shooting live rounds at a 55 gallon barrel from 200 yards three times each day. Tomahawk & Knife Throwing Competition: Participants see who are the most accurate and consistent in throwing fur trade period “hawks” and knives at a target no larger than a playing card.
