What are some of the firms representative cases?
In recent years the firm has represented a number of aerospace engineers and technicians who developed rare cancers of the blood and blood-forming organs. The engineers and technicians are employees of major aerospace companies in Los Angeles County, who developed leukemia, multiple myeloma, and other rare cancers as a result of exposure to advanced composite materials and solvents. Most of the employees developed these rare cancers in their forties. The first of these cases was that of a technician who developed a rare form of leukemia at age 40 and died a few months later. Settlements with approximately 40 chemical manufacturers were negotiated on behalf of the technician’s widow, children, and estate. The firm is presently litigating other cancer cases from toxic exposures in aerospace.
