The first scam is one about an account problem. You will be told that you need to login in order to correct a problem. If you click on the link, you will be taken to a page that looks like it’s Blizzard’s site. It’s not. If you enter in your login and password, they will have your information and steal your gold. Another scam is the change your password email scam. This one has an attachment associated with it. It will want you to download and install the application to secure your password. This is just a virus. Don’t fall for this. One is a scam that wants you to verify if you are the original account holder. There is a threat in the email saying that you can lose your account if you don’t act immediately. It’s just another way of stealing your login details. There is a more recent scam about the Cataclysm Beta Test Invitation. This makes players excited as this is rare to get from Blizzard. This takes you to a fake site just like the other scams.
