What are some of the benefits of drinking water vs. soda?
With the exception of ginger ale, soda has no beneficial ingredients in it except for the water. But then the caffeine in them (for the ones that have caffeine) takes more water to process then the soda provides so it actually dehydrates which actually makes the water in the soda worthless. Sodas also have a bunch of sugar and carbs which helps contribute to weight gain then heart disease and diabetes. On average they have more than energy drinks do. They also use all sorts of other chemicals for flavor and color. They can also deplete you of calcium and B vitamins. Artificial ingredients are much harder for our bodies to process than natural ingredients so it makes us work harder than it has too. To much also can affect our kidneys, skin, and liver too.
