What are some nice Mozart symphonies?
I’m not sure what you mean by ‘nice’. To my ears, Mozart didn’t write any horrible symphonies. I would advise you to listen to any (ie ‘all’) of them and decide for yourself which ones appeal to you (anyone else’s taste is almost certainly going to be different to yours). However, to get you started, I will recommend those I consider particularly suitable for a beginner. PLEASE don’t let this prevent you from exploring them all, however. Try Nos 17, 21, 29, 33 to start with. Then, when you perhaps feel more confident as a listener, try Nos 14, 25, 31, 34-36, 38-41. Have a lot of fun, OK? I don’t attach any value to what is ‘famous’ – there is plenty of famous music that does not warrant its fame. Conversely, there are masterpieces that hardly ever get heard.
