The original Latin Vulgate of the Fifth Century is still availale in Latin The translated Vulgate is available in Medieval English. It is the Douay-Rheims Old and New Testament. There is no other accepted accurate translation. There are voided versions called “confraternity” prior to 1950. With its Westmonsteriensis Imprimatur it is designated for use of researchers and authors, not for the Faithful. It is a “challoner” revision. The Missale Romanum of traditional Catholic Mass remains the same as it did before Vatican 2 changed it. Catholics may use this translation in assisting at Mass and read the actual prayers.
