What are some misunderstandings of schizophrenia?
Schizophrenia is a disorder in which you hear or see people that aren’t really there. Despite common belief, schizophrenia is not even remotely close to being MPD (Multiple personality disorder). MPD is a disorder in which you have some number of people living in the same body. When one takes over, the other does not remember what the he/she was doing. In addition, you do not always see things in schizophrenia. In fact, it is very rare to actually see things. More than at least 75% of the time you just hear people talking to you when they aren’t.
