What are some low calorie/low fat alcholic and non-alcoholic drinks?
Most drinks are fat-free. Any fat in a drink is almost certainly coming from a dairy product like cream or (rarely) raw eggs. So avoid anything creamy, and you’re going to have a fat-free drink. Avoid anything sweet as well, and you’re going to have the lowest calorie content possible. For low-calorie mixed drinks, avoid sugar. Unflavored 80-proof alcohol (most rums, vodkas, whiskeys, tequilas, and gins) has about 65 calories per ounce, all from alcohol. Combine unflavored 80-proof liquor with low-sugar or sugar-free mixers (diet soda, club soda, diet Red Bull, and unsweetened lime juice) and you’ll have the lowest-calorie alcoholic drink possible. Among those options, I like light rum mixed with Diet Coke with Lime, dark rum mixed with Diet Cherry Coke, vodka mixed with Diet Coke with Splenda, and vodka with diet Red Bull. Jack Daniels and Diet Coke works too. For cocktails, avoid syrupy or sweet liqueurs; they’re always made with sugar. A dry martini with a twist is a good choice, si
