What are some low-calorie foods that are filling?
Water/tea, water-containing foods like melon and soup and smoothies. But I was told by a dietician, “do not drink your calories.” Meaning sugary I’m sure, and milk and cream only in moderation. Beverage calories can get out of hand quickly. But liquids get in the nooks and crannies of our food and fill us fully! Also… Vegetables just dang near as much as you want! Whole rolled or steel cut oatmeal, not the instant flavored oatmeal. If you want flavor, add vanilla, brown sugar, or fruit, etc..There are other grains…choose the least processed of barley, quinoa, rice, etc. Beans Low fat milk I have also heard that hunger is often triggered by fluctuations/dips in blood sugar. You can even out your blood sugar by eating carbs and proteins together…will cut down on drops and spikes…bottom line is that if eaten in the right proportions to each other, all your foods will allow you that full feeling.
