Really, the reasons for it being illegal are thin at best. So just for the sake of argument, I’m trying to think of some examples of why it should continue to be illegal, and the fact that it’s “smoke” is the only compelling one that I can think of (ie. same dangers as cigarettes). But…. one doesn’t smoke a “pack” of marijuana cigarettes a day… so even that fails on those grounds. It’s much less harmful than alcohol, and should be regulated the same way: over 21 only and limits on how stoned you can be behind the wheel. For instance, they don’t ask 100% abstinence from alcohol before driving… and I think the same can be figured out for marijuana. I live in California and have been trying to think of what I can do to campaign *for* this law, as I like to take a hit of pot *most* days. I could definitely be one of their ‘poster children’… college graduate, same employer for 20+ years, married with children, buying own house, etc. Just taking care of business. Also, I rarely drink
