What are some key fashion trends from the 70s?
Reon is about right, but im sure punk was more at the beginning of the 80’s. When it first came out (punk) it was trendy to buy all your gear from charity shops and be as shocking as possible. It started to become a fashion early 80’s i know because i was one and i married one lol in 1980. The 70’s for me were Platforms, twin sets bell bottoms trousers/jeans straight legged trousers/jeans puffed sleeved blouses, oxford bags furry jackets (shaped like a bomber jacket). Ditzy dresses that had a tie at the back, Visors in the summer, fingerless gloves in the winter stacked perms and BRUT aftershave everyone wore it, or Charlie perfume. Mary Quant was still going in the 70’s and Gloria Vanderbilt was another designer.
